Lisa Drew has been in publishing for 37 years. She began her career at Doubleday in l96l as a secretary and rose through the ranks to become executive editor and co-editorial director of the General Books Group. In l984, she was named vice president and senior editor of William Morrow and Company, where she remained for eight years before launching her own imprint at Scribner in January l993. Lisa Drew Books publishes a list comprising primarily non-fiction titles, many related to politics and the arts.

"Lisa doesn't just edit your copy; she holds your hand throughout," says Ann Blackman, author of Seasons of Her Life, the most recent addition to Ms. Drew´s distinguished list of books by and about public figures. "She massages her writers' fragile egos as well as their copy."
